Malaspina International Student Scholarship 
The following scholarships
are available for new international students to
Malaspina University-College.
Unless otherwise indicated,
the scholarship is applied to the student’s second
consecutive academic term.
New Applicants
British Columbia High
School International Excellence Entrance Scholarship
Number : Minimum 2 each
fall
Amount: $1,000 each
Criteria:
All International student applicants who have applied to
attend Malaspina in their graduating year from a British
Columbia High School with a Dogwood Certificate. Highest
average in combined marks of English 12 (combined
provincial and school mark) Social Studies 11 and Math
11 (principles or applications). Awarded as a tuition
credit at Malaspina University-College in their second
academic semester. No application necessary.
International Baccalaureate
(IB) Diploma Entrance Scholarship
Number: Open each fall
Amount: $1,000 each
New international student graduates with an IB diploma.
Awarded as a tuition credit at Malaspina
University-College in their second academic semester.
No application necessary.
British Columbia Offshore
School Entrance Scholarship
Number: Minimum 2 each fall
Amount: $1,000 each
Criteria:
All international student graduates from BC Offshore
schools are eligible. The awards will be given to the
two students with the highest combined scores on any two
Grade 12 provincially examinable courses excluding their
first language. Awarded as a tuition credit at Malaspina
University-College in their second academic semester.
No application necessary.
Continuing Students
Malaspina English Language
Program Achievement Award
Number: Minimum 2 each
fall
Amount: $1,000 each
Available to 2 Malaspina English Language Program
international student level 5 graduates recognizing
outstanding achievement in their final 2 semesters of
Malaspina University Preparation Program ESL studies.
No application necessary, awarded as a tuition credit at
Malaspina University-College.
Malaspina International
High School International Excellence Award
Number: Minimum 2 each fall
Amount: $1,000 each
Malaspina International High School international
student graduates recognizing outstanding achievement in
their final academic year of studies. No application
necessary, awarded as a tuition credit at Malaspina
University-College.
International Education
Academic Excellence Scholarship
Number: Minimum 10 each
fall
Amount: $1,000 each
Continuing full-time international undergraduate
students demonstrating outstanding academic achievement
in the previous academic year at Malaspina. No
application necessary, awarded as a tuition credit at
Malaspina University-College. For full-time students
only and students may not receive this award in
consecutive years.
Malaspina Campus and
Community Award (More from Todd/Patricia)
Number: Minimum 2 each fall
Amount: $500 each
Continuing full-time international undergraduate
students demonstrating outstanding community service
achievement in the previous academic year at Malaspina.
Application is available at the Centre for
International Education reception (Bld. 255).
Malaspina International
Student of the Year Award
Number: Three each fall
Amount: $500 (1) and $250 (2)
Continuing full-time international undergraduate
students demonstrating outstanding academic and
community achievement in the previous academic year at
Malaspina.
Malaspina Outstanding
International Student Athlete Award
Number: One for each
recognized Malaspina Varsity Sport (9)
Amount: $500 each
Awards provided based on the recommendation of the
Malaspina Director of Athletics.
