Dorothy Hodgkin Postgraduate Awards

The University of Leeds has been allocated two Dorothy
Hodgkin Postgraduate Awards for Session 2007-2008 in
areas covered by the EPSRC. This national initiative
aims to recruit outstanding research students from
Brazil, China, Hong Kong, India, Russia, South Africa
and the developing world to the UK to study for a PhD
degree in top-rated research environments.

For those starting in Session 2007-2008 the scheme will
provide overseas rate fees and a maintenance stipend for
a maximum period of 3.5 years (*£12,600* a year for
Session 2007/08).
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must hold a very good first degree (the
equivalent of a UK First Class Honours Degree) from
a prestigious institution (for some subjects, you
may also need the equivalent of a UK Master’s degree
in a relevant subject);

Applicants must meet the University’s English
language requirements
